INSTALLATION “THE DRESS OF ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING”

Presented at the exhibition “Sculptor’s Book”, State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg, 2018.
The exhibition project “Sculptor’s Book” is devoted to the Artist’s Book – a medium widely spread and developed in the 20th and 21st centuries . It was very often used by sculptors. The exhibition investigates the way sculptors deal with a book as a cultural phenomenon. Contemporary sculptors do this in a variety of ways: by producing unique or limited edition of art objects within their publishing practice. They also find inspiration in literary works, including the Russian avant-garde. Sculptors create ‘sculptural illustrations’ to the most famous books.
